Complaint and Request Procedure
Anyone has the right to request digital accessibility of a website, mobile application, or any of their elements. You can also request access to information via an alternative access method, such as having an inaccessible digital document read aloud, a description of video content without audio description, etc.
The request should include the details of the person making the request, an indication of which website or mobile application it pertains to, and their contact details. If the person making specific request indicates a need for information via an alternative access method, they should also specify their preferred way of presenting the information.
The public entity should fulfil the request promptly, no later than 7 days from the date of the request. If meeting this deadline is not possible, the public entity immediately informs the person when the request will be fulfilled, with the new deadline not exceeding 2 months from the date of the request.
If digital accessibility is not possible, the public entity may propose an alternative way of accessing the information. If the public entity refuses to fulfil the request for accessibility or an alternative access method, a complaint may be filed about ensuring digital accessibility of the website, mobile application, or their elements. After exhausting the above procedure, a request can also be submitted to the Commissioner for Human Rights.
