Antoni Ziemba

Art historian, professor of the University of Warsaw, Institute of the History of Art, and former chief-curator of Medieval and Early Modern European Art of the National Museum in Warsaw (1991–2019).

Member of the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences, Krakow (PAU) and the Committee of Researches on Arts of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw (PAN).

Specialization:  history of the 17th-century Dutch painting, history of the 15th–16th-century Netherlandish and German art; Late  Medieval art of  the Northern  Europe; the theories of art from the Antiquity to the 18th century; old painting techniques and technology; museology.
