Course of Partial Studies and Settlement
Organizational matters related to travel and stay, as well as the amount of travel grants and other benefits, are coordinated by the International Relations Office.
Didactic Matters
The mobility coordinator at the Institute of Art History supervises the implementation of the study program. Based on the program completed abroad, some subjects foreseen in the IHS UW Study Program for the given academic year may be recognized as completed.
After positive qualification, an electronic Learning Agreement (eLA) will be created in USOS, which enables students to personalise their partial study program. Students design their program by selecting courses from the university for which they were qualified. The IHS mobility coordinator oversees the compliance of the selected courses with the art history profile, approves the program, and confirms the successful completion of studies upon return.
Student and Graduate Internships
Internships abroad enable gaining experience useful in future professional work. By definition, internships are not studies; during the stay, performing work for a minimum of 35 hours per week is expected. The duration of both student and graduate internships is 60-180 days. Participants receive a scholarship during this period.
Recruitment for internships is ongoing. After finding a suitable institution, students contact the mobility coordinator, who, along with the International Relations Office, conducts the qualification process. The coordinator also checks the compliance of the selected institution’s profile with the field of study and oversees the substantive execution of the internships.
Students of the same studies as in the case of partial studies can apply for student internships. During the internship, the student status at UW must be maintained.
Graduate internships are open to students in their final year. In their case, the qualification must be completed before defending the thesis, and the internships should be completed within 12 months from the official date of the end of their study program.
Further information on organizing internships is available on the BWZ website.
All detailed questions regarding matters not discussed above or on the BWZ websites should be directed to the IHS mobility coordinator at erasmus.ihs@uw.edu.pl.
MOST
MOST, modelled on the Erasmus program, supports student and doctoral student mobility within the country. It involves 29 Polish universities, allowing students to undertake semester- or year-long studies outside their home university. The necessary condition for accepting students to another university under MOST is completing the year (for bachelor’s studies) or semester (for master’s studies) preceding the study period at the given university and submitting an application form. More information about the program is available on the Office of Educational Services website.
The mobility coordinator at the Institute of Art History is Dr. Zoltán Gyalókay. The coordinator establishes the didactic program implemented at the foreign or domestic university and indicates necessary supplements after returning to UW, approves/certifies students’ achievements, oversees the Erasmus internship process, accepts the personalised student programs, and recognizes the learning outcomes, sets the didactic programs of students participating in the MOST program, and recognizes their academic achievements.
