First and second cycle part-time studies in art history have the same program as full-time studies and provide the same student rights. The main difference is the frequency of meetings and the cost of studies. Part-time classes usually take place twice a month, every two weeks, in three-day cycles (so-called “sessions”). The session starts on Friday late afternoon and lasts until Sunday. There are seven sessions in one semester. Additionally, in the second year of bachelor’s studies, students complete a five-day field practice, which is an opportunity to consolidate practical knowledge and acquire practical skills related to the work of an art historian in direct contact with works of art.
Part-time studies are conducted in a mixed mode, with a predominance of remote learning. Two sessions per semester take place stationary at the Institute of Art History, the remaining meetings are conducted online. Licensed platforms such as ZOOM, Google Meet and Campus are used for distance learning. The learning outcomes and their verification methods are the same as for full-time studies.
